Smile

Simple people, simple life
So much that’s needed
So much past strife.

Smile on faces,
Lotus field mazes
As long as one gazes
It’s full of love and life.

Bless the country’s souls
Who have gone through a lot
So, so many fold.

With smile on my face
Hanging out in a lotus field maze
As far as I gaze
I have found love,
I have found life.

Mom

Sacrifice, love and
All of life’s good.
Bringing home food,
water and wood.

Heralding light with the wood of hope
And the oil of dreams
Basing the foundation of my life house
On her strong belief beams.

Starved so I could eat,
Stayed awake so I could sleep,
Played with me so I didn’t weep,
She is the priciest possession I keep.

Life’s too fast and time passes on
Little do we realize why we are where and where we belong.

Spent life searching for angels
And, now that I’ve come home.
Haven’t seen an angel,
but I sure have seen mom.

Away from home

At a camp, by the bonfire
From all our hearts and worlds’ desire
We come here
From far and near
From the land of kangaroos
to the country of moose

But, there’s one thing that binds us together.
It’s LOVE.

Love of our people,
love of our soul
love of those who are strong and bold
Love of those I swear by this poem
Love of those who help us call here
A home away from home.
