In your eyes
I see sunshine. Energy, warmth and infinity all combine In your eyes. Sometimes, in your eyes I see your past. Running away for miles and miles Only to come home at last. Sometimes, in your eyes I see the pain. Forging a relationship with that someone Asking yourself what you have to gain. But get up! ’Cause in your eyes I see your strength, I see your might. Cutting through darkness and fright. In your eyes, I see the light. In your eyes I see fire. I see change. I see desire. In your eyes I see peace. Calm as the ocean Fresh as the breeze. So, just let me stare my dear ’Cause time just flies I see love I see life In your eyes.

The smile on your face
the calmness of your heart the warmth of your embrace is like sunshine on the morning grass. I wonder if I should wait it out or, tell it to you all out. For my feelings, heart, my life it's all at stake. But perhaps if I just told you it'd lessen my heart ache? Because I have nothing you can have so much more than me. You can have the mountains of the riches the rain of the Amazon the camels by the Nile just by your smile. Because I have nothing but hope. The hope to grow old the hope to be bold the hope to stay whether it's happiness or dismay. The hope to kneel the hope to feel the hope of happiness Come whatever that may. The hope to respect the hope of having no regret the hope to live with you, and, with you, to die. The hope that like cotton threads, we weave the hope to love deeply and believe. The hope to hold your hand, to run away with you and fly. Because I have nothing. I have no pots of gold no treasures to which I have the key. But, I'd tell you our love story If you'd just sit down and listen to me. Because I have nothing. In this cold stormy weather, my lips may be chapped, my hands may be cold. But just let me hold you, my dear 'Cause I have soul of the bold and only warmth in my hold. I think of you when I am awake. think of you when I am asleep. Next time you walk the hilly slopes of San Francisco Just remember, there's a boy walking around wearing his heart on his sleeve. In the drought of my life I don’t know what to seek or where to hide. All I want to do is become one with you and never divide. And, until then, I am waiting. Waiting for you to grant my wish waiting for you to come to the other side. And, until then, I am waiting like a beach, with my arms wide open, waiting for your ocean’s tide. Your eyes are gorgeous
Like all of world’s pristine oceans combined together to form two diamonds and those two, staring right back at me. I think of the fire in your heart The ocean in your eyes I think of how time flies When I look at you. I think of you crossing the Nile I think of running mile upon mile, To see your gorgeous smile When I look at you. I think of your strong willed mom I think of your time traveling alone I think of your ever moving home When I look at you. I think of your long, curly hair I think of how to love and be fair You shake my earth, water, and air When I look at you. I think of new, I think of old I think of warmth, I think of cold I think of strong, I think of bold When I look you. I think of calm and despair I think of life as a pair I think about how much I care When I look at you. I think of short, I think of tall. I think of summer, I think of fall I think of giving you my all When I look at you. I think of watching your hair fall I think of your love for nature, And, you sitting in it nice and tall When I look at you. I know, I stare. When I look at you. And, I smile I smile to be so lucky to have known you. I smile for you, I smile for me. I smile for whatever it’s going to be. I smile for love, I smile for fear I smile for what’s mine right now, right here. I smile for what I lost, I smile for what I found I smile because what goes around in life, comes back around. I smile my laugh, I smile my tears, I smile my heart, I smile away all my fears. Because people like you are far and few. I live, I die When I look at you. I was going to write to you,
But I did not. Hoping you would write to me, But some other work got you caught. I played the game, Hoping you’d play with me. But also complained, Oh, what this world has come to be. I played the game. I played the game, Day in, day out. To sooth my own ego, Once again, beyond doubt. I played the game. To hide my own fault To show off my riches When all my home has is a bare roof, some bread and a pinch of salt. I played the game. But, now I know better. I know to believe, To trust in you, to trust in me. Trust that it’s going to be good whatever it will be. But, now I know better. I know now, that there will be none. There’s no room for any. Because the world with you is rare, Smiling sunshine every day, bringing light to many. But, now there will be none. It serves nobody. Instead of dirtying the lake of love, time has come to make it less muddy. But, now there will be none. ‘Coz doubt deserves no space in this world of peace, This world of fun. ‘Coz loving you was never easy, It was just meant to be done. Sacrifice, love and
All of life’s good. Bringing home food, water and wood. Heralding light with the wood of hope And the oil of dreams Basing the foundation of my life house On her strong belief beams. Starved so I could eat, Stayed awake so I could sleep, Played with me so I didn’t weep, She is the priciest possession I keep. Life’s too fast and time passes on Little do we realize why we are where and where we belong. Spent life searching for angels And, now that I’ve come home. Haven’t seen an angel, but I sure have seen mom. Breathe gratefully
Remember fondly Laugh heartily Feed soulfully Spend wisely Think clearly Live simply Love deeply Hold on tightly Let go easily I’ve known you with so many faces
I meet you every where I go I’m standing at the traffic circle, waiting for a cue, You’ve got a welcoming sense of warmth in you. Pristine, pure, loving and calm You seem to have lived through a storm Connected both inside and out Making the world a better place, no doubt. Your hugs are puddles of joy Make me feel like a teenage boy Hair flowing like an ocean’s tide You show up in my life again, only to go back and hide. But, for humans, complication is our cup of tea I went looking for answers for us Came back with more questions for me. I am poor, I am thirsty Searching for the water of love Quenching it for short moments Looking for the rain from above. There’s the desire for freedom on one side The other’s got love and thirst I don’t know what I want I ask only for the gift of freedom Tied, with love, in a wrap of trust. Those pretty blue eyes of yours,
Tear me straight through. That lovely black dress of yours, hits me more than a barrel aged brew. The tan on your body, the smile on your face, You are a needle in this world full of hay. Surely, during summers at the farmer’s market, You were absorbing beauty with every single ray. Some say, life is all but a pilgrimage, To catch a glimpse of the divine few. I say, who needs the seven wonders, When one’s got someone like you. I don’t know why in this battle of life, We get caught up in win and defeat. Don’t know why we love and hate, And, why we separate and meet. Don’t know what He was thinking, When He made you from far above. Because we are all pilgrims of you Praying every day for peace, charity and love. |
